Create your own Haiku

Activity: Create your own Haiku:

Here are some guidelines:

- It should contain three lines arranged according to a five-seven-five syllable count.
- It must be brief.
- It must involve some aspect of nature, sometimes there is a reference to seasons.
- The haiku must describe an event in the present, not from the future or past.
- It must express a sense of insight or wonder.
- It must provide images from any of the five senses.

Explicació:
Es tracta d'una activitat on els alumnes veuen uns exemples de Haiku's amb les imatges de fons que transmeten els poemes i així se'ls convida a escriure'n un ells mateixos.

The power of water!

Activitat:
Insertaria aquest video al blog d'aula amb alguns exercicis de comprensió oral. El visionaríem a classe i faríem els exercicis tots junts.

Serviria de vídeo introductori per parlar del problema de l'aigua i de les mesures que s'estan duent a terme des dels governs.

Com a activitat final demanaria als alumnes que pensessin en mesures que poguèssim portar a terme a nivell particular o a la nostra població y que les pengessin en forma de comentari al blog (això serien els deures).

Retelling tales

The world upside down.

You all know the story about Little Red Riding Hood. Things have changed a bit since the old days. Here are the REAL CHARACTERS and you are going to tell us the REAL STORY.
You have to do two things:
1- Tell us the story according to the characters in Picasa.
2- Write a physical and psychological description of the characters.
We'll add our favourites to the comments on Picasa.


LA NARRACIÓ
Aquesta és una activitat de writing per alumnes de 1r Batxillerat. Els alumnes hauran treballat prèviament aquests elements:

- grammar : simple past, past continuous, past perfect, after/before ___ing, reported speech
and relative sentences
- vocabulary: linking words (first, then, after, before...), description adjectives
- Writing: structure of a narrative text (intro, body, end) and paragraph structure

Hauran fet anteriorment una pràctica guiada d’un text narratiu. Aquest, tot i ser més lliure, tindrà les mateixes pautes que hauran de seguir.

Aquesta activitat generarà una segona. Ells mateixos busquen personatges d’un conte, els pugen a Picasa i ens expliquen el conte, evidentment modificat per les imatges que ells hagin escollit.
